概要

モレキュラーデバイスのQPix™400シリーズのピンは、細菌、ファージ、酵母などの広範な微生物のピッキングに対応できるように特別に設計されています。 種々の微生物は、それぞれ異なるコロニーの形態をとる場合があります。 微生物に特化した、モレキュラーデバイス独自のピンには、様々な形状、大きさおよび特性のものがあり、ピッキングされたそれぞれのクローンの生存率を高め、その後の増殖を確実にします。

Choosing the correct head for QPix Systems

Picking Head (Black)

  • 96-pin format
  • For picking from agar plate to liquid destination plate
  • Requires use of picking pins

Re-arraying/Replicating Head (Blue)

  • 96-pin format; padding within the head for softer pin return
  • For transferring from liquid source plate to liquid destination plate
  • Requires use of re-arraying pins

Gridding Head (Red)

  • 96- and 384-pin format
  • Pins are not fired; they only retract into the head when they hit a solid surface
  • To “spot” liquid from source plate onto agar or filter
  • Requires use of gridding pins

Pins can be removed and replaced quickly. Pin type must match picking head (e.g. use rearraying pins with the rearraying head) to ensure optimal performance. If extensive decontamination/cleaning is required, the entire head can be entirely dismantled and re-assembled in a few minutes.
